1. idk how to reply honestly but to addidaswguy, it wasn’t explained in the anime but when he dies and comes back, he can’t clearly remember what happened before he dies as the memories of anytime he loops for the first time in a while are foggy. it’s why the first time he died he couldn’t hear the appa guy clearly, but he could hear him properly around the third time. the more time he dies the more his memories of what happened before he died become clear. Also it’s explained in the novels but since subaru is in a whole other world, he didn’t know if there was magic capable of reviving the dead as if nothing happened, which is why he asked old man rom if he died recently.

2. Ugh no matter how many times I watch it I’ll NEVER get over how stupid he is in the beginning. Like bro that kind of PTSD gets burned into you and there’s no way you’d think that was a dream, and nobody wakes up standing up in the middle of a square mid conversation. Asking someone if they’ve died recently? Are you kidding me? And talking to her like you’ve already met when you should known damn well(if you’ve read manga and watched anime like he does) that you went back and reset.

3. I didn’t think this show was going to be good but after the first episode I was hooked.

4. I tried watching this episode on HBO Max and it was a nightmare. Rewatched it on Crunchyroll and no issues with sync

5. It seems to be a bit misaligned with my footage. Are they not watching the director’s cut version?

   1. No, I don’t think the director’s cut has the english dub. They’re watching the original cut, and the version on crunchyroll seems to sync up well enough.
