1. overall mixed opinions, I largely agree with your takes, but I also feel like the message was muddy and didn’t really feel conclusive narratively/thematically wise. it somewhat feels like they were trying to please everyone with the message which needed up making it hard to fully grasp and also pleased no one.

   but oh well, again, I don’t hate it, not do I love it, I feel very mixed feelings about it for many reason’s that would take a paragraphs or two.

   Here’s to hoping you guys can react to ‘YOU’ at some point soon, for me it stands up to dexter in many aspect and feels like the “evolution” of the type of story Dexter was, while still being it’s own thing with it’s own slightly different tone(I might dare say it sometimes feels better then the best of dexter, but that’s just me and I’d just like to see you all give it a shot).

2. the writing for this season has been really sloppy and dexter out of character. all he had to do was be patient and SMART. wait for all the evidence to come in and BAM twist it so that kurt is the kiiller and he framed dexter. kurt lied about matt being alive, paid someone to pretend to be him and book a hotel in new york, all of that could be explained as “matt found out about his dad or his dad tried to bring him in on it but matt was against it and he killed matt to keep his secret” but nope dexter paniced which serial killers dont do cause they dont have emotions and fucked it all up. such an unsatisfying ending
