1. I mean I dont think its virtue signalling to not enjoy things that others enjoy. It’s just not having the same tastes. Some people like isekai, some dont. Some people like battle shonens, some dont. etc…

   1. It’s a power fantasy riddled with fanservice. idk man doesn’t seem like a great anime to react to.

3. Eric saying that this was based on a light novel, so something has to have been left out to provide context is the overstatement of the year. The light novel covering the events of this season has around 1,700,000 words. The entire LOTR trilogy has 576,459 words and all of Harry Potter is 1,084,170 words. This light novel section is longer than from Bilbo’s eleventy-first birthday to Gollum’s death, then from Harry left on his aunt’s doorstep to explaining that his son is named after two of Hogwarts’ headmasters.
